So, having just finished experiment 20, where I had the chance to play around with aromatherapy essential oils, it’s now time for my traditional week to evaluate and assess what I’ve done and where I’ll go from here.
What lessons really stick out from the past 10 experiments?
Well, I think the first thing that really sticks out is that sometimes I already know what I should be doing, I just need to do more of it. The key example for this is my light box for SAD experiment. I knew how it would help, I even HAVE a light box. Yet, with all that knowledge, do I use it? Nah. Life would be far too easy!
The second experiment that really jumped out at me was the experiment with the health benefits of white wine. It closely matches the discoveries in my second half of the experiment where I looked at red wine and sleep. Basically, wine (in moderation) can be an INCREDIBLE sleep aid, and red wine appears to be even more effective than white wine!
The last real experiment that jumped out at me was the benefits of journal writing. I was amazed at how writing out my thoughts and problems helped me deal with stress.
That’s ten more happiness experiments under my belt. I’m learning a lot about myself and a lot about increasing happiness in general. This is really a valuable journey!
