Lately I’ve been facing a lot of realizations about myself. Things that scare me are falling by the wayside. They still scare me, but I’m finding that I do a pretty decent job of dealing with them, so I’l taking a moment to pat myself on the back, but also a moment to think about the implications of it. In fact, it’s stuck with me so much that I’ve decided to focus on it with a quote of the day:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

This quote has stuck with me a lot of my life, ever since I heard it in a TedxToronto talk by Drew Dudley. If you want to see the talk, I link to it in a previous happy thought of the day.

So, embrace your strengths and be a light against the darkness. Sometimes you’re providing light enough for others to find their way out of the darkness as well!
