This has honestly been one of the most fascinating experiments I’ve done to date. It really has an amazing impact on your mindset, especially considering how little time this experiment really takes.

For all of these reasons, I think I will continue on with writing my happy thoughts lists. I likely won’t publish them all on this site, but you might see more happy thoughts lists now and again.

The week of lists ends today, with this final list. My happy thoughts list for today is:

1. People who can laugh at themselves: Specifically Ricky Gervais. Say what you will about his hosting of the Golden Globes, I like how he doesn’t take himself seriously even while he hosts a major awards show.

2. Surprise visits: I like when people I miss come by and visit.

3. Fresh baked cookies: I’m not sure if this is a carry-over from when we were all kids, but unless you’re on a strict diet, fresh baked cookies make everyone smile.
